Uintah County Landfill was created to develop, implement and manage the disposal of solid waste in an economical and environmentally sound manner using modern land filling technology. The County is committed to pursuing new technologies resulting in both extending the life of the landfill and improving the cleanliness and quality of the environment.

We are unable to set up charge accounts at the Landfill. Pre-pay ticket books can be purchased at the Uintah County Clerk-Auditor's office, 147 E Main, Vernal, 435-781-5363.
We cannot accept waste generated outside of the county, unless previous arrangements have been made with the county commission.
Special Waste will be handled on a case by case basis; fees will be set after discussion between County Commission and Landfill Administrator.
Please remember that laws regarding littering and illegal dumping will be enforced.
The Landfill has a used oil collection tank that is free for do-it-yourself oil changers. We cannot accept antifreeze, diesel and gasoline, solvents or any other liquids. The tank is for used oil only.
ATTENTION: We are having problems with drilling line, cable, slickline wire, etc. It wraps around drive shafts, wheels and axles on the landfill equipment. As you are aware, down time repairing equipment is costly. We are asking for your help with this situation. When you set trash baskets on location, please ask them to cut the above mentioned items into lengths no longer that 10 feet. We are asking for your help at this time to avoid raising trash basket dumping fees in the future. |
