Uintah County Emergency Management Organization
Uintah County Code provides the legal basis necessary for Uintah County to conduct emergency planning, response, and recovery operations and provides the framework for the Uintah County Citizens Corps Council.
Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
The EOC is where centralized emergency management is performed during major emergencies or disasters. The EOC function facilitates a coordinated response by community, local, state and federal agencies. The level of EOC staffing depends upon the situation. It is located on the third floor of the new County Public Safety Complex, and serves as the OEM administrative area as well as a training facility. In an emergency, the space is converted into a fully operational EOC within two hours. The Uintah Basin Communications Dispatch Center (9-1-1) is located down the hall from the EOC.
